DESCRIPTION:Presidents’ Day is a U.S. federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February to honor the nation’s leaders \n\nGeorge Washington’s Birthday: The holiday began as a way to celebrate the birthday of the first U.S. president\, George Washington (born February 22\, 1732). It became a federal holiday in 1885.\nThe Monday Shift: In 1968\, Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act to create three-day weekends for federal employees. The holiday moved to the third Monday in February.\nIncluding Lincoln: Because Abraham Lincoln’s birthday is also in mid-February (February 12)\, the Monday observance naturally came to honor both leaders\, and eventually all U.S. presidents\nOfficial Name: The federal government still officially calls the holiday “Washington’s Birthday\,” though Presidents’ Day is the popular name\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The CECMP is excited to announce a new opportunity for Director Mentors! We will be offering quarterly seminars via Zoom to support Director Mentors across the state to build community and dialog together; as well as explore mutual topics of interest. Laura Reno\, retired Director Mentor\, will be the facilitator and will be reaching out with further details to those who have a confirmed registration. A stipend of $125 will be provided for attending all sessions. \nAll sessions are virtual and held from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. \nSeminar Dates: \n\nMarch 9\, 2027\nMay 11\, 2027\n\nZoom link provided upon application approval. \nStipends are available to participants who complete the entire series. \nQuestions?
